At the time of this paper, the apparatus is essentially completed and installed. After more than 10 years of design and construction, the CMS magnet has been constructed and successfully tested. Most of the magnetic, electrical, mechanical, and cryogenics parameters measured during the tests are in good agreement with calculated values.
